What is the Redrow Apprenticeship Programme?
The Redrow Apprenticeship Programme is a combination of both work experience and an academic qualification, completed over a fixed length of time (usually 3 years), during which you, as an apprentice, will receive a wage.
The programme will place you with one of Redrow’s experienced and trusted sub-contractors, so that you can learn the skills required to do your chosen job whilst working on Redrow developments. You’ll also be given access to information and learning you will need for your required qualifications.
In order to join the programme, you must be registered with CITB Construction Skills (CSkills), which is the construction industry’s training board. If you are not already registered, you can do so through BConstuctive by clicking on the button below.
Usually on a day release basis, you will also go to college, where you will receive support and guidance from both the college tutors and a CSkills Apprenticeships Officer - and they will help you to work towards the component parts of the Apprenticeship qualification. This largely comprises a National or Scottish Vocational Qualification (N/SVQ) in your relevant trade.
Initially you would work towards a level 2 NVQ within a given Apprenticeship - and then, depending on your trade and ability, you may have the option to progress to a level 3 NVQ as part of the Advanced Apprenticeship programme.
Upon successful completion of your qualification, you will receive a certificate showing that you have gained a nationally recognised award. This, along with your valuable on-site experience, will help you greatly in pursuing your chosen career.
Do you have what it takes?
At Redrow, we’re looking to recruit motivated people who want to learn, and who will deliver our ideals of quality and customer service. So you will need to:
-
Be punctual, make a valuable and measurable contribution to the company - and work as a co-operative, willing member of a team.
-
Understand the information on these pages and discuss them with your friends and family in order to make the decision that’s right for you.
-
Pass the CSkills Learning Exercise in order to secure your place (a practice version of this test can be found when you click on the ‘Apply Now’ button). Otherwise, we do not ask for particular pass grades in English and Maths, although these may benefit you on the programme.
If you feel you meet the criteria above, then we would love you to apply for a Redrow Apprenticeship - so click the button below.
