Quality Control of our Products
Redrow maintains a Quality Control File for each property, which records key elements of the building process. Our employees and subcontractors sign off the completion of specific stages in the construction process confirming that the agreed standards are achieved.
The NHBC or another qualified building control body is appointed to monitor the quality of a Redrow home during the build process and to confirm the property is built in accordance with regulations and is finished in accordance with their standards prior to completion.
Redrow undertakes a detailed inspection of each home to demonstrate it to the customer to check that every element has been properly completed.
Redrow provides a 10-year warranty on each home, issued by the NHBC or similarly recognised insurer.
In 2010, 14 of our site managers collected prestigious NHBC “ Pride in the Job” awards and of these, 4 went on to collect “ Seals of Excellence”.
To win a Pride in the Job Award requires total commitment and these award winners have been selected from almost 13,000 site managers across the UK to win just one of 400 Quality Awards.
Judging for the awards is meticulous, beginning a year before the announcement of the first round of winners. As well as carrying out spot checks of the day-to-day running of the site, each site manager is assessed across 38 areas of site management including their technical knowledge, consistency in the build process and leadership and organisational skills.
Only site managers who demonstrate exceptional standards in every aspect of their work on site and the homes they build will be considered for a PIJ Award.
