On our Woodford Garden Village development in Cheshire, which is our fourth Garden Village with others located in Wales, Kent and Cambridgeshire, residents will benefit from range of facilities and spaces designed to help them connect with one another, get active, spend time in nature and live healthier lifestyles.

The development draws on the latest government thinking on the delivery of large-scale housing projects and will include 920 homes, extra-care accommodation, local retail units, up to 90,000 square feet of employment space and 30 hectares of open space.

The development is principally characterised by a network of ‘green streets’, which will link the new village green, playing fields and play areas and out to the open countryside beyond, encouraging active modes of travel such as walking and cycling.

On the development there will be: shops, a public house, a doctor’s surgery, a school and heritage centre, as well as the significant areas of open space. This will provide a high quality, well connected built environment, with a wide range of facilities that will enhance the health and wellbeing of both new residents and those already living in the area.
