Redrow’s Apprentice Excellence Awards celebrate the hard work and commitment of our apprentices across the UK. The ceremonies are a great opportunity to recognise those who are going above and beyond to make a significant contribution to the site that they work on, and to the business as a whole. The 2018 awards saw 13 apprentices commended and the overall winner was Painting & Decorating Apprentice Courtney Baker-Edwards.
Redrow leads the industry in developing the next generation of builders and skilled tradespeople. Not only do our apprentices get first class training, both on site and at local colleges, Redrow also partners with key suppliers to ensure they get a comprehensive understanding of the wider aspects of their chosen field. For example, MA Broughton Electrical Contractors have trained electrical apprentices for over 30 years, and currently mentors Redrow apprentices on site.
We are committed to a number of strategic partnerships with local colleges including South Essex, Wolverhampton UTC, Coleg Cambria, Medway UTC, Exeter College and South Staffordshire College, which provides a variety of opportunities to help embed classroom based learning, for construction and the built environment students.
