My role at Redrow is Marketing Campaign Manager and it’s a really exciting job. I’m part of the in-house team whose members are responsible for organising all of our national and local marketing campaigns across all sorts of different media, from online to television. One day you can be talking about ideas and drawing on scraps of paper - and the next you’re helping to produce a nationally aired TV advertisement!

“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Redrow. I started with the company as a Graduate Trainee in July of 2016 before becoming a Project Coordinator and Trainee Manager. I then took up my current role as Marketing Campaign Manager, and in the last few years Redrow have fully supported me in my desire to enhance my professional development by funding my Level 6 diploma in Marketing.”

Dominic Walker, Marketing Campaign Manager

I became Finance Director of two Redrow housing divisions in 2011, having joined Redrow 10 years earlier as a Keele University graduate trainee in the Finance team. When I joined Redrow as a graduate trainee all those years ago, I hoped that one day I would be a director of the company; now that I am, it is a fantastic feeling!

“The graduate trainee programme was an excellent introduction to the business and gave me the opportunity to study for external qualifications; I’m now an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA) and I also participate in a range of in-house training programmes. Redrow is a fantastic place to work, and if you are prepared put the effort in and to work hard, there is every opportunity for you to progress and build a career within the company.”

Sarah Cooper, Finance Director

I’m a Communications Executive at Redrow, having joined in 2018 through the graduate trainee scheme. My main responsibilities revolve around Social Media, PR and our Brand Reputation. In support of the latter, working with the other graduates, we created a Mental Health campaign and transformed an overgrown area at a primary school into a garden and outdoor classroom to support pupils’ learning and mental health.

“I was proud to receive a nomination for Group Employee of the Year and to be promoted to Communications Executive within 18 months of being on the graduate trainee scheme. I love my job because every day is different; I have the opportunity to travel and work closely with the divisions, so it’s great to communicate with so many different colleagues and partners. I’m also a Redrow Ambassador, so I visit schools and careers fairs to talk about a career in construction and the options available.”

Sonal Haja, Trainee Content Manager

I’ve been at Redrow’s North West division for five years, I’m currently working at our South Liverpool development, Allerton Gardens - and I want to inspire confidence in other women who wish to work in the industry. I started working in construction after completing a Building Surveying degree at Liverpool John Moores University, followed by a two-year graduate programme at Redrow that led to my appointment as an Assistant Site Manager across the North West.

“I’ve had so much encouragement in my construction career and I feel so proud of what I’ve managed to achieve so far. I have had to overcome a lot of self-doubt in this role due, to public stereotypes regarding women working in the industry; however, I can see women working in the industry becoming the norm, and it makes me proud to think I played a small part in getting to the stage we are at now!”

Megan Woodburn, Assistant Site Manager

One of the many things which I like about working on site is that everyday presents a new challenge and an opportunity to learn new things. I work with the Site Manager to supervise all sub-contractors and trades. A typical day for me would consist of ensuring everyone on site is signed in, carrying out site inductions, updating traffic management plan where necessary, monitoring health and safety matters, carrying out inspections, ordering materials and scheduling work to be carried out in line to reach our production targets. I have also taken on some additional responsibilities, such as Customer Care and being the Covid-19 supervisor on site.

I feel that I have made the right decision choosing Redrow. Their culture, values and support of personal development are some of the reasons. Having a strong willingness to learn makes me keen to constantly develop my skills and have been able to attend so many training courses in person and online. I am looking forward to gaining more knowledge and experience from working with different departments as part of the graduate programme. As I come to the end of the graduate programme, I can’t wait to start the next chapter with Redrow.
